This is the 1st race of the Rapid Running Series for 2010!

Course Description
Mature Trees, open area, and hilly, with the chance of facing cold weather elements.

Scoring

There will be 2 ways of scoring for this race. The first way to score is a pairing of 2. This can mean a couple but it can also mean anyone that you love sincerely. The scoring would be based on the two people. So let’s say your couple places 2nd and the other couple places 7th that would be a total of 8 points. The goal is to have a minimum amount of points at the end of the race.

Top 10 couple teams will receive an award from the heart of Rapid Running!
The second option is a team of 5 individuals up to 7 individuals on a team. Scoring of teams will be cross-country style but individuals can also run. The cross country teams will have to run an 8k race.

Each team competing will need to have at least five runners to score.
The first runner to finish scores one point, second place two points, third place three points, and so on. All of the competing runners who finish will be ranked and scored in this manner. The final team score is determined by totalling the points, lowest total will be declared the winner.

Even though the sixth and seventh runners on a team are not able to post scores for their own team, these "kickers" can increase the total score of the opposing teams if they finish ahead of the first five runners of the opposing team. Lowest team score wins.
Top 10 couple teams will receive an award on the championship podium!
Top 5 Cross Country Teams in all divisions will also receive a medal on the championship podium!
Top 25 male and female will also receive a medal on the championship podium!

*This is the same for both 8k and 5k races*
Runners in the winning circle will also receive in an award, this award is TBA.

Race day registration opens at 8:00 AM.
Online registration closes the prior Friday evening.
Register online at Active.com. if you want to pay the price we came up with!
Day-Of Entry fees are cash (preferred) or check (bring cash).
All runners must sign a release form.
