Are you intrigued by triathlon but haven’t tried it? Or are you a veteran triathlete looking for a new training challenge? Either way, the Terre Haute Indoor Triathlon is just for you. We’re taking the concept of triathlon and moving it indoors for an exciting swim, bike and run event. It’s shorter than a regular tri, easy to follow and fun! All participants will receive a Triathlon T-shirt.

Course Information

Regular Triathlon
• 10-minute swim in lap pool
• 10-minute transition (swim to bike)
• 15-minute bike in cardio room
• 5-minute transition (bike to run)
• 10-minute treadmill run

 Duration
The Indoor Triathlon is based on distance unlike an outdoor triathlon based on time. The event takes 50 minutes to complete.  All participants must start on time.

Scoring
Performance is measured by total distance covered in the time allowed.  The more distance you cover, the higher your score.

Starting
Start times are staggered. Four participants will participate in each leg.

Transitions
Transitions between race legs do not figure into results.

Tracking
Staff and volunteers will monitor each participant’s results.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up will occur day of race at the Family Y in Terre Haute, Indiana. Packets may be picked up as early as 6:00 am. Please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your designated start time. Packets can be picked up throughout the Day!

Age Groups: Male and Female, 8-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ 

  Wave start times will be posted a week before each race at the rapidrunning.com  or please tell us when you want to start and we will try to fit you into that time zone.

  Finisher medals to all participants 

  Plaques to overall winners, certificates for age group winners 

 Raffle prizes for participants and volunteers 

We will try to hand out awrds after every wave, if not awards ceremony will be at 1PM or after the last waive

 Post-race Refreshments will available in the Y lobby

 Please note there are no refunds on registration fees

There are no registration transfers

Relay Competition
Participants in the triathlon may choose to compete in a relay. Awards will be given to the top teams in each event.

Bike Information
Elite Wireless Trainers make it possible for athletes to use their own bike during the race. Participants who would like to use their own bike are welcome to do so if the bike is a road or triathlon bike with standard road tires. Mountain bikes with cyclo-cross or mountain tires cannot be used on the Elite Wireless Trainers.
